Donegal Hotel, Restaurant and Pub and Nightclub of the Year Awards

Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey will host the 2010 Donegal Hotel, Restaurant and Pub of the Year Awards on Wednesday the 10th of February.

The event which in its second year will showcase the finest in the tourism sector covering a wide range of the finest in Hotel’s, Pubs and Restaurant’s in the north west and Heather Mc Ardle The Face of Ireland  will present the winners.

Applications are now being accepted for the following categories for the Gala Ball and the organisers are looking forward to hearing your stories about your favourite location. The Categories up for nomination are:

Section 1: The Hotel Categories

• Donegal Manager of the Year
• Donegal’s Most Friendly Hotel
• Donegal’s Hotel Superb Food
• Best Entertaining Hotel of The Year
• Hotel Group of the Year
• Donegal’s New Hotel of the Year
• Best Spa Hotel of the Year
• Most Modern Gym/Leisure Centre of the Year
• Golfing Hotel of the Year
• Wedding Hotel of The Year
• Overall Hotelier of the Year

Section 2: The Pub Categories

• Overall Pub of the Year
• Pub Manager of the Year
• Most Modern Pub of the Year
• Entertaining Pub of the Year
• Nightclub of the Year
• Traditional Irish Pub of the Year
• Off license of The Year

Section 3:  Restaurant Section

• Restaurant of the Year
• Superb Food of the Year
• Restaurant Manager of the Year
• Chef of the Year
• Bistro Of The Year

Nominations are being welcomed from the general public by emailing awards@faceofireland.com  or by writing to the Panel of Judges at Face of Ireland Competition, Finabanes, Co. Donegal to include the award category you are nominating, the reason for your selection and your contact details. Closing Date for applications will be the 25th of January.
