Solis Lough Eske Castle take Gold in A Passion to Inspire - Food of Donegal Competition
Taste of Donegal - 28th 29th&30th
A number of Donegal Chefs took part in the Taste of Donegal Food competition called a Passion to Inspire organised by local chef Anthony Armstrong.
The chefs were given an hour to prepare, cook and present two portions of a dish of their choice using Donegal produce and suitable for modern lunchtime dining.
Peter Griffiths MBE, British Culinary Federation Executive and John Rettallick Governor of the Craft Guild of Chefs judged the event.
Competitors were asked to show as many craft skills as possible in front of the judges and were judged on working methods, professional techniques, skills, hygiene, timing, balance and quality of flavours, textures and presentation.
