Bluestack Challenge
In June 2011 we will once again be running the now famous ‘Bluestack Challenge’. This is a fundraising sponsored walk that attracts people from all over Ireland (North and South) and further a field raising funds that go to help people with special needs in our county.
We take approximately 400 sponsored walkers over our beloved Bluestacks, on a trek that can take up to 10 hours. They get a fabulous walk through some of this country’s most spectacular scenery and we raise much needed funds for the most vulnerable in our society.

Enterprise Centre for Donegal Town
Donegal Town Community Chamber limited is delighted to announce that it has commenced building the Donegal Town Enterprise Centre at Lurganboy, Donegal Town.
The Enterprise Centre will provide locals who are starting or expanding a new business with the perfect location. The range of facilities, services and advice offered is designed to tilt the balance towards the success of these enterprises in the vital early years.
The 8000 sq. Ft. custom built facility will be finished and ready for occupation in May 2011.
The Facility will consist of eight units split between office units and ground floor multipurpose units with shared conference / meeting room.
Donegal Town Community Chamber will relocate its office to the enterprise centre and take one of the eights units.
This will enable on site management of the facility and provision, if required, of phone answering and office services for our clients.
The Community Chamber will be a focus for services to our clients such as:
• Grant aid
• Mentoring
• Advice
• Local suppliers of services
• Publicity

The Twinning Association.
The Twinning Association have received an invitation from the Mayor of Sene Luc Faucault inviting the citizens of Donegal Town and surrounding areas to come to Sene to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Twinning of our towns. The invitation is from 31st May to 5th June 2011, and it is hoped to organise about 20-30 people to travel to Brittany at that time. We are intending to travel by car to Rosslare for the ferry crossing to Cherbourg, and drive down to Sene, the return trip would be from Roscoff to Rosslare. The cost of the trip is approximatly 200 euro per person, this includes petrol costs, boat fare and berth for the return trip. We would be hosted by the Breton families in Sene for the duration of our stay. The festival Saime de Golfe will be in full swing during our visit and only happens every two years. It is amazing to see hundred of boats large and small on the Golfe de Morbhain on the final day of this festival.
